Lotus Traveller Configuration for Nokia E72

Many companies are working over IBM lotus domino mail server and want to mobileze their employees with e-mail,contacts,calander and to-do list with all the time so that they could respond to anyone at anytime.

IBM Lotus Notes Traveler software client is a mobile email solution available for Nokia Symbian devices. It enables wireless synchronization of IBM Lotus Notes email, calendar, contacts, journal and to-do data between IBM Lotus Domino server and Nokia Symbian devices.

So i will take you through how to configure and what are the requisites for doing so.
There are two versions of the client on the market. Lotus Notes Traveler 8.5 and 8.5.1.

Features of LOTUS TRAVELLER:
Lotus Notes Traveler 8.5 (Supports Nokia Symbian (S60 3.x) devices

• Wireless replicates; email, calendar, contacts, to-do's and journal
• Create, reply to, reply to all, forward, and delete emails
• Accept/reject Meeting requests with comments
• URL's, phone numbers, and email addresses shown as links
• Folder subscription: view server folders and sub folders in device
• Folder management: create, delete, and move folders

Lotus Notes Traveler 8.5.1 adds a number of new features (Supports Nokia Symbian (S60 3.x & 5.x) devices

• Remote security management (require Nokia Symbian device supporting TARM)
• Features like remote wipe, password management and defined security policies for users, groups and organizations
• Touch screen support for some Nokia Symbian devcies

Security Aspect:

• Support for SSL 128 bit encryption
• Lotus Traveler Security enablement library activates the features required for remote security administration
• Features include device security policy and remote wipe for theft-loss protection

Key Requisites for setup of Lotus Traveller:

• Deployment of Lotus Domino server 8.5 or above at least one
• Access to Symbian mobile phones
• Username : ex: shailendra.raj@greenhouse.lotus.com
• Password : *************
• Server address: ex: traveler.lotus.com
• Access  point: Internet Data Plan from network service provider (SIM)

(username,password and server address can be fetched from the IT administrator of the company)
